Maintenance and maintenance of the X-ray diffractometer
Working environment of X-ray diffractometer:
Recommended temperature: 15~25℃, the temperature change is less than 1℃/30min.
Relative humidity: 20% to 80%.
Clean environment: Clean the inside of the instrument regularly to prevent dust from gathering on the surface of some important parts and affecting the normal operation of the instrument.
Other environmental conditions: There should be no devices that vibrate violently and generate strong magnetic fields near the laboratory.
In order to prolong the service life of the X-ray tube, the following issues should be paid attention to during use:
1) Standby power, especially the current should not be too high, will consume the life of the X-ray tube.
2) When the instrument is not used for more than 1 hour, set the X-ray tube to the standby state. Set at least 40kV/10mA during standby, and 45kV/20mA for ceramic X-ray tubes.
3) When the instrument is not used for more than two weeks, the high pressure of the X-ray tube must be turned off.
4) When the instrument is not used for more than ten weeks, the X-ray tube must be removed.
5) For new X-ray tubes, X-ray tubes that have not been used for more than 100 hours and have been removed from the instrument must undergo normal aging. X-ray tubes that have not been used for more than 24 hours but less than 100 hours must be automatically and rapidly aged.
6) When increasing the voltage, first increase the voltage and then increase the current.
7) When lowering the voltage, lower the current first and then lower the voltage.
X-ray Diffractometer Safety Notes:
1) The windows of X-ray tubes and detectors are made of beryllium, which is fragile and toxic. Do not touch the beryllium window under any circumstances, including when cleaning. At the same time, don't throw away X-ray tubes and detectors like normal trash.
2) If the shutter cannot be opened, it is usually caused by a certain safety loop not working properly. Never try to skip the safety loop.
3) If the lead glass on the protective cover is damaged, stop the instrument immediately.
4) Please try to avoid excessive force when closing the door, so as not to affect the safety system of the X-ray Diffractometer.
