Due to the high cost of purchasing and commercializing solid-state high-voltage switching power supplies, at the end of 2022, Li Guoxing, Liu Youlin, and I jointly undertook the research and development of the "AL-GKT-3000 power frequency high-voltage power supply".
Engineer Li Guoxing is responsible for overall guidance and wiring design, and jointly undertook the design and drawing of the system schematic with me. Engineer Liu Youlin is responsible for writing the upper software (GUI interface) of the power system and communicating with the lower system control board. I am responsible for drawing the printed board and writing the measurement and control program for the microcontroller (arm) of the lower control board, as well as working with Li Guoxing to design the schematic diagram of the system board.
In addition to the disadvantages of large volume and slightly larger ripple, the biggest advantage of power frequency high-voltage power supply is its low price, and it can also Provide a large amount of current (pipe flow). Our company's original industrial frequency high-voltage old-fashioned power supply design was only equipped for the "horizontal diffractometer", which only It can be controlled by two old and almost discontinued programmable controllers (PLCs) as the lower level controllers, and the upper level control of the high-voltage power supply is also fixed It has been integrated into the GUI of the "horizontal diffractometer" because it cannot communicate with other X-ray devices, which determines the excellent power frequency produced by our company。High voltage power supply cannot be widely used for supporting many other X-ray equipment, and this is also a challenge that the three of us need to overcome.
As is well known, the development of high-voltage power supplies for X-ray equipment is technically challenging. After starting this work at the end of last year, the three members of the R&D team worked together, and each person demonstrated their technical advantages. Especially engineer Li Guoxing, who has been working hard in the field of X-ray equipment for a lifetime, has rich experience and deep understanding of the high-voltage power supply of X-ray equipment. Liu Youlin is also deeply involved in the field of X-ray equipment
A senior engineer who has worked for many years, Liu Gong personally wrote programs to operate the solid-state high-voltage switching power supply of "Westman" products, so Liu Gong is also very familiar with the high-voltage power supply equipped with X-ray equipment. With the guidance of these two highly experienced engineers, we embarked on the arduous research and development process of the project. At the beginning of research and development, under the correct guidance of engineer Li Guoxing, we followed Li's design philosophy of removing two PLCs, and the schematic diagram and printing board of the first draft were completely correct in terms of ideas. When writing the measurement and control program for the lower system board, I also fully adopted the excellent suggestions proposed by Mr. Liu. Because the power frequency high-voltage power supply is an object with great inertia and inertia, we have also fully considered the corresponding control strategies in the lower measurement and control program on the board for the lifting and protection of kilovolts (kV) and pipe currents (mA), thus achieving good control effects on the power frequency high-voltage power supply. In the later stage of research and development, both Li and Liu proposed many new improvement suggestions, such as Li proposing adjustment suggestions for wiring, and also proposing that the actions of several relays in the power supply should follow the commands issued by the upper software; Liu Gong proposed that when there are minor faults and poor functions, it should have the function of sending instructions to the system reset from the upper level. These fully functional suggestions have been implemented on the second draft printed board.
In summary, the project of "AL-GKT-3000 Power Frequency High Voltage" has invested the hard work and energy of the three of us. With this system, our company's self-produced high-frequency high-voltage power supply can be freely connected to many X-ray equipment that require matching. Looking back on several months of research and development, all three of us have done our best to complete the project task!
